As a mom who might be in her head a bit more than is healthy, I decided to write and share some of the journal prompts that have helped me untangle my choices. I read Jocko Willink's Extreme Ownership but I also know that I'm unlike Jocko. I'm a mom to three boys so sometimes my focus is split even when I aim to hold myself accountable for my own solopreneurial activities. So if you are like me, a mom with brain conflicts/priority conflicts and you want to hold yourself more accountable, then try these three journal prompts. Do let me know if they are helpful.
What parts of your current situation are your fault? What parts aren’t? [yes, tough love but as a mom, I dish this so I can take it)
When are your behaviors outside of alignment with your priorities? Any themes there?
Where has the time gone? What would you say has been your greatest time guzzler? [ if we can't be honest with ourselves then who can we be honest with? Again, this is about loving yourself not reprimanding ourselves].
